End of Year Group Expectations for Reading, Writing and Maths

Class Information

P.E Days

Wednesdays and Fridays. Please ensure a full indoor / outdoor P.E kit is in school on these days. 

Homework 

• Daily reading
• Weekly spelling practise (either Spelling Shed, spelling sheet / spelling book or both)
• Weekly maths homework (either Maths Shed, maths sheet or both)
• Year 4s to practise times tables on Maths Shed each week 

 Autumn Term Learning

Maths: Place Value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division and length, perimeter and area

Reading: Our class novel is 'Children of the Quicksands' by Efua Traoré

Writing: Stories from another culture, poems with a structure, non-chronological reports and figurative poetry

Science: Living things and their habitats and teeth and digestion

R.E: Christianity 

P.E: Hockey, creative games, OAA and gymnastics
